Lignum Inane Information

Lignum Inane is a Stam (approx. English: Venture Scouts) of the Scouting group 'de Biezenhutters', from Ooststellingwerf in the Netherlands. Founded in 1998 and since then we are acting as a support and service providing unit within the Biezenhutters group. We are completely independent speltak (agegroup) for anyone older as 17, acting without any supervision. Currently we have a meeting about once in two weeks time and we have 9 members.

Together with 'Zware Metalen' we form the Stam of Scouting 'de Biezenhutters'.

Examples of events we have organized for our Scouting group over the last few years are Sint Joris (St. George day), the first meeting of the new year, the 'overvliegen' (passing from one agegroup to another) and every year we help out at the annual group camp (the hike, campfire, building of big objects).

But we also from time to time have events of our own, like hikes and the visits to the zoo and amusementparks. And we build piotechnical objects and pyrotechnical events. Furthermore at moment we manage the Biezenhutters website and occassionally provide people to help out at other agegroups.
